
Jennifer Agbay (Artistic Director, Dance)
has returned to PASOW as the Artistic Director for our dance
program. Jennifer is an alumnus of New York University and
received her Bachelor of Science in Dance and Dance Education.
She is also an alumnus of the PASOW Dance program and previously
served on the faculty. Jennifer's professional repertoire includes:
The Washington Square Reparatory Dance Company and a New York
based Ballet Company, "Ballet for Young Audiences". She is
also on faculty at the Boston Ballet school, has taught and
choreographed in numerous private and public schools as well
as, Assumption College in Worcester. She was the former Artistic
Director and Upper School Coordinator at Dance It Up! Dance
Center in Grafton and has served as one of Lincoln Center's
National Educators in Dance. As Artistic Director, Jennifer
will be working with the Director of Curriculum to create and
develop continuity in the Dance program.
Jolanta Valeikaite (Ballet) Jolanta Valeikate
will be returning for her second year at PASOW. A graduate from
the Vilnius Ballet School, Ms. Valeikaite received recognition
as a laureate of international ballet competitions, wining the
Silver medal at the Ballet Competition in Moscow, the Bronze
medal at the International Ballet Competition in Moscow, the
Bronze medal at the International Ballet Competition in Varna,
and the Prix Ohya at the 3rd International Ballet Competition
in Paris. She was a principal of the Lithuanian National Opera
and Ballet Theater for 10 years. Ms. Valeikaite joined the PASOW
faculty in the fall of 2003.
Deborah Lucivero (Ballet) had her classical
ballet and modern dance training from Eleanor Thompson and also
studied in Boston, New York city and at Jacob's Pillow.
She has performed with the New England Dance Ensemble in various
classical, contemporary and modern dance pieces throughout the
Northeast. After receiving a Masters Degree in Special Education
from Assumption College and teaching in the Worcester Public
Schools, Ms, Lucivero returned to ballet when she joined the
PASOW faculty in 1995. As a faculty member, she performed in
several productions of The Nutcracker with the Worcester
Youth Ballet.
Elisabeth Anne Hughes (Ballet) is the former
Owner/Artistic Director of the Performing Arts Theatre in Sterling,
which she owned for over 18 years. She is certified to teach
dance through Dance Masters of America, Chapter #5, and has taught
ballet, tap, jazz and modern to students ages 2-adult for over
25 years. She has studied in New York, Boston and Cambridge with
Gus Giordano, Frank Hatchett David Howard, Charles Kelley, Luigi
and Ann Reinking.
Judie Clark (Modern Dance
Instructor)Judie Clark's early dance training began in upstate
New York studying with Kathy Hansen, Judy Bloom and in Toronto,
Canada with prominent teachers from The National Ballet of Canada
and Christopher Donovan from Les Ballet Jazz de Montreal.
She
is a 2002 graduate of the National Dance Institute teacher-training
program. N.D. I. was founded by Jacques
d'Amboise, led by Ellen Weinstein. Ms. Clark taught children
using the NDI methods at PS1 and at LaGuardia High School,
(the High School of Performing Arts), in New York.
Ms. Clark has
performed in Japan, Summer Stock Theater, with The Tri-Cities
Opera, and Sonia Dawkin's Prism
Dance Theater. She has trained with Garth Fagan, Milton Myers,
Timothy Draper, founder of the Rochester City Ballet, Judith
Jamison, Pearl Lang, Philadanco and the Limon Institute.
Ms.
Clark has her associates in Dance from the University of the
Arts in Philadelphia, a Bachelors of Science
in Dance from SUNY Brockport, currently on faculty in the dance
departments at Dean College, Nichols College and summer faculty
at Cushing Academy. [ to
